Photo Sharing - Video Sharing - Photo PrintingWe just had a wonderful time celebrating a long awaited Anniversary vacation. We had the whole family go to Lake Travis and relax in a wonderful vacation house. This trip was supposed to take place back in May but life happened and we were still able to celebrate together. The boys enjoyed the swimming pool, the hiking, and the great naps on their Grammie and Papu. Brooklyn, Chad's daughter, was a lot of fun and super helpful - she helped me with our carrot cake masterpiece ;) Chad made an awesome meal on the last night that consisted of drum on a bed of grilled polenta and topped with shrimp creole (not sure that was the official name, but it was mouthwatering!). Andy made her famous pulled pork omelets and some tasty gallo pinto. Papu had to miss out on the first day and a half, but he made it in time to bask in the awesome weather and hold some sleeping babies ;) Grammie was delightful with her skilled Mater/Francesco/Lightning McQueen dramas ;) And, Shu slept in every day ;) hee hee. Jules handed us a horrible night's sleep on the second night with a new onslaught of coughing...urgh. Poor Shu was the handy receptacle for a forceful evacuation of the little man's belly at 2 AM. Vincent had his first experience with water getting stuck in his ear and, thanks to a quick run by Andy and Chad, we were able to avoid further issues with a quick dose of Swimmer's Ear and Tylenol. Anyway, it was a great weekend and we just look forward to having more opportunities to spend a little bit of time together ;)
