Swimming lessons

So, we decided to put little Baby J in swimming lessons. We are having him go through the same ISR training that we did for Vincent. It teaches survival floating and it just seemed appropriate considering how often this little one can be around water. He's actually doing really well with the classes. He cries the whole time, but he's giving in a little faster than Vincent did, which is nice to see. Overall, the little one is starting to really develop his own personality and communication style ;) we swear he said DOG yesterday, with a strong emphasis on the "g", but otherwise he says "utha" for bird or airplane, "ssssssssssh" for fish, and "pspsps" for pretzel. He's very much into climbing everything in sight and loves to hang out on chairs - preferably standing on a chair with some sort of food item in both hands. He is, sadly, becoming a little more of a daredevil. In fact, we put him in Little Gym classes, and after three classes, he now has discovered the joy of walking on the balance beam and flipping around the poles on his tummy...at the beginning, he wouldn't have anything to do with either.

As for Vincent, he is diong really well with his new class. He seems to love Ms. Laura and his classmates, especially Maddie and Ethan (my buddy "he's not my buddy anymore because he is mean - he wanted to throw me into the trash can" "were you being mean to him?" "yes"). He looks forward to class and even gets sad about leaving so that is just wonderful ;) We've been spending a lot of time at the Natural Science Museum ([artially bc of Jules' swim classes) so it's fun to see him be so interested in dinosaurs and spiders and bugs and butterflies and etc etc. He really wants to learn right now, so we have fun when we are out and about...Not so much fun when we are cooped up at home because Julian and V fight over their toys, etc, but they seems to be getting much better overall.

As for us, we had a wonderful time as a family this past weekend at the Michael Franti and Carlos Santana concert. V was jumping up and down to his favorite song "That Thing that you Do". We go to stay until right before the lat hour of the concert, but at least we got to hear "Oye Como Va", "Maria", and all of our favorite Franti songs. In addition, we've taken recent trips to the zoo together and the park and the beach (two weekends in a row). We definitely had an awesome time at the beach with Amma and Akong and hope to do that again sometime soon.

And now my time runs out because Vincent is coming down the stairs telling me he is not sleepy "not one little bit". I spose it is time to wear off those fruit snacks with a P90X workout with Mama. Ha Ha Ha.
