Week 6, Swim Lessons

It is now our final week. We had three rainout/cancelled classes, so V is on to day Day 23. This past weekend, we went to Galveston to Palm Beach, and tried out his new swimming skills. The little man is a real trooper. He seems to really enjoying swimming, but just isn't a big fan of floating. Ogh well, I guess it just confirms his need to move every moment of the day ; )

Day 23: V is doing a great job of swimming, floating, and then swimming. He is just beginning to get the concept of floating in order to get a breath. I just hope he gets the hang of it before classes are up. He seems to really like Fi and is doing much much better about taking in water.

Day 24: He's getting closer and closer to flipping over on his own!!

Day 25: OMG!! He's actually flipping over on his own!! Tomorrow he has to swim with a diaper, clothes, and shoes on!! Crazy stuff!!!

Fi is letting us get in a few more classes when we get back from nebraska so that we can polish his skills...what a miracle, though!!

Day 26: We weighed him down with some super heavy clothes and he was still able to hold his float. In fact, it seemed like he floated better than normal. As for swimming, this was the first time we saw him favor floating over swimming. I guess all those clothes were just enough to make him uncomfortable ; )

Day 27: Today was breakthrough day!! He was able to do everything!! All on his own!! See for yourself!
