It's been a while!!

Since our last post, we had a wonderful weekend stay in Galveston on Easter weekend, a horrific poltergeist series for Haley (from which she recovered), an awesome time at iFest with Michael Franti (who Vincent still talks about and which happily coincided with Mother's Day), a horrific time at the hospital with my Mom after having an appendectomy (thankfully she is on the road to recovery), and then a swell time at the Art Car Preview in downtown Houston. Yes, it has been a very intense time and, phew, I am glad to say that May is coming to a close. Now, I am embarking on learning how to write grants for LIFE Houston, planning Julian's birthday party, and looking forward to rescheduling my visit with my parents...we were supposed to celebrate their 30th in Austin, but after last weekend, all of our plans were put on hold.

Vincent has been good, sweet, challenging, and impossible ;) He's loved his swim lessons that he is taking at the Houston Swim Club. He really enjoyed dancing at the Michael Franti concert and hunting down the huge yellow balloons that he sent into the crowd.

Julian is working on walking. He's letting us walk him a little more often these days and we really don't have to do much to help him out. It's pretty cute. He's getting more vocal - "na na na" when he was sick and didn't want any food, "ma ma ma" after a water hose scared him, and gibberish the rest of the time. He's still our little happy guy - very sweet. He surprised me recently when I got back from my five night stay in Nebraska - HE was the one who pushed me away. Little Vincent was SO happy to see me ;)

And so, tonight we wet to the art car preview and it was a good time. Kinda sad because it marks the countdown for our goodbye to our good friends who are heading up to Pennsylvania...at least we got some good photo ops of the boys ;)
