The Race is On

We just had a wonderful Thanksgiving break. After months of crazy work hours, Shu was finally able to take some real time off. It appears that a true vacation can really only be achieved at home these days. We have all the necessary accoutrements for both kids and a chance to really relax once then go down for the night. It was a great break with some quality family time. Gugu came to visit and we were able to visit with the bulk of Shu's family. Let me just say that a media room is like a Godsend for the parent of a toddler who had literally a bull in a china shop ; ) V was so excited to see everyone, especially Auntie Cha Cha's puppy. Needless to say, V napped well on the way home.

Julian is on the move. You can't set him down without him flipping over immediately. He's turning his little body around and really eyeing Vincent's toys...and so begins the arbitration ;) He's getting so much more vocal and seems to share his brother's love of food. He;s up to applesauce now and loves to play with his little sippy cup. The only thing is that he has pretty fast reflexes so we have to side step his little hands in order to get to get to his little mouth. Speaking of mouths, he has started blowing bubbles and it is just the cutest thing.

Vincent is talking up a storm and we just wish we were quick enough to record what he says. Shu has a post to put on here, but to summary (in case he doesn't get a chance) Vincent described his Dadu's fart as "like stinky onions". He's fighting his naps like you wouldn't believe and the funniest thing is that he'll declare that he isn't tired while riding in the car and about 2 minutes later he'll be sacked out. He's starting to play much better with other kids and is well on his way to learning how to live in this civilized world ;) The best is when he's spooning food inot his mouth...oh, they grow up so fast!! Just today, I found myself almost in the young boy clothing section at Old Navy!! He's a 4T, the last size in the toddler section...sigh.

Oh yeah, and Julian officially surpassed some of Vincent's stats for his 5 month weigh in!! Crazy stuff!!!
