Three Months soon!!

Yup, the Little Man will be a quarter of the way to a year old on Monday!! He had his doctor's appointment yesterday and it went really well. He's a tall (90%), heavy (95%) dude with a normal-sized head (50%) ; ) The nurse was even calling him a chunk : ) When our prediatrician was listening to his chest, Vincent chose to play with his stethoscope instead of the other fun light-up toys he had around his neck. Oh, and he totally behaved for him when he wanted to look into his mouth. As soon as Dr. Yamauchi turned on the light, he opened wide in a nice big sustained yawn, so he got a great look at his uvula.

He had a big day yesterday because, in addition to having his appt, he also got to meet five of his cousins!! Shu's cousins were in town from Florida and Oklahoma, so they stopped by and got to meet each other. It was great seeing them and he really loved watching them! The dogs were also appreciative of all of the little hands that were giving them treats ; (we're dog sitting for Sadie right now - yeah as IF we would add another dog right now!!)




In other news, the little man is trying to roll over unassisted...usually he tries to when he's frustrated or when the TV is on and he wants to watch it. He's now able to sit up pretty well in his high chair and is bringing toys to his mouth - although sometimes I wonder if the toy gets in the way of his hand while it's on his way to his mouth ; ) He still kinda likes to be held, but you've gotta keep moving, otherwise he prefers to lay on his back and "do the cockroach", aka wiggle his hands and feet all over the place and work out some energy. He's getting better and better at tummy time, too. He'll hold some pretty long conversations with people when he's in the mood - mainly complaining about the living conditions he's got or lack of food, but all very very interesting - hee hee. Anyway, we'll be celebrating Shu's birthday this weekend. He managed to wake Mommy up at 4 AM on her birthday and pull a growth spurt where he was eating every 2.5 hours all day, but it looks like things are much more stable for Daddy - he woke up at 6:30 AM after a good night's sleep and appears to be sleepy today. Right now, he's in the middle of a 1.5 hr nap!!
