Our midwife recommended that we play hookey one of these days, so we did it this past Wednesday. We had our regular appointment and everything looked good. Then, we met with a pediatrician who we'd heard about and he spent a full hour with us. He was great. We definitely look forward to seeing him. There is something to be said about a pediatrician who still sits on the little kiddie chair, even when he's talking to the parents ; ) He also said that his son is going to join his practice soon and, since he's a 6 ft tall version of Matthew McConaughey, I think that'll be a wonderful addition - hee hee. Anyway, we finished our day off with a wrapup of our "Heroes" marathon. We are now done with the first season...and our poor baby will probably come into this world with the darned theme song stuck in his head ; ) We had breakfast for dinner that night - yum!
We have our last birthing class this weekend, which we are both kind of sad about - it's been a lot of fun. Next weekend, we have our baby showers, which I cannot wait for!! I guess we are to the point where we can just sit back and enjoy the last several weeks of peace and calm....poor Haley has no idea what's coming ;) We've been leaving certain things for last - attaching the car seat to the car, putting together our hospital bag, etc, but I guess we're actually getting to the point where we really shouldn't wait any longer!! Crazy...
