We celebrated V's half birthday with a fun check up with Dr. Y. Everything went really well. His recent, and now gone, fever seemed to be nothing. He was impressed with his vocabulary and ability to focus. Of course, it helps when Dr. Y has the coolest stethoscope - full of lights and clicky thingies. I had to ask him about the little guy's TV watching habits. This guy will watch TV and ignore everyone around him. It's bad. But, it looks like that's just him and we just need to make sure we engage him if and when he watches TV. I guess focus is good...sometimes. In case you are wondering, I was worried because we went to a birthday party and V spent his whole time watching TV rather than interacting...focus. Anyway, he is officially 30 lbs and 34.5 inches.
As for what he is up to these days, his favorite thing is play dough. He will actually roll the dough and say "roll" while he's doing it. We got him a play dought kit yesterday and he ooh and aah'ed over the extruder, the squishy pad, and especially the little pirate ship steering wheel that it came with - it was a Backyardigans set. Otherwise, he is still full of energy most of the time (unless he's got a fever). Last night he was getting down with our wedding CD and got a huge kick out of his different dancing styles. You see, he will spiral around and snake around when the salsa is on, but he knows to bump his booty up and down as soon as 50 Cent comes on. That's our baby!!
