We'd been talking about trying them out, but had wanted to wait for his five month checkup. Unfortunately, that got postponed due to the hurricane so, instead of waiting until next Wednesday, we decided we'd waited long enough. With the way Vincent reacted, you'd think we were giving him lobster!! That rice cereal mush with water tasted SOO good : ) He did a great job of swallowing it down, too. Shu and I were eating lentils while we fed him and it was cool to think that it'd just be a short while before he'd be eating those with us, too!!

Now we really feel like Big V is growing up too fast. He's eating solids and he's moving fast enough on his belly that we have baby-proofing listed on our list of things to do this weekend. Seriously, he will move at a rate of at least 2 ft/minute if not more. He doesn't get up on his hands and knees but he's figured out how to military crawl with fast lunges forward. Crazy.
